whatcha gonna say and whatcha gonna do
Hey Audiosurfers, I've uploaded the five tracks that have been kicking my butt recently for your perusal and enjoysal*. Gotta keep the competition 'ril', ya know?

Check it:

The Human League - All I Ever Wanted
I was listening to this in the car and all of a sudden I was like Holy Shrimp-ka-babs, why am I not playing this on Audiosurf? It turned out to be every bit as fun as I expected. It's long, though, and it doesn't let up. Don't screw it up!

Ladytron - Destroy Everything You Touch
This is a pretty straightforward song. It pretty much only has one tempo. However, as that tempo is brutally fast I can guarantee you won't be bored. To give you an idea of what you're dealing with here, I've got a score above 60,000 but I have yet to ghost it**.

She Wants Revenge - I Don't Want To Fall In Love
OK, I saw that Jesso was playing this and had to give it a whirl. Good choice, Jesso!

The Killers - Somebody Told Me
Ridiculously fun song turns out to be a ridiculously fun surf.

Joy Electric - I Am a Pioneer
Everyone knows that JE rules for Audiosurf songs. This track is exemplary, though, possibly up there with "Dance to Moroder". Anyway, it gets hella fast at the end, so watch out.

I've been playing with the "Iron Man" box checked. I don't really know what that does, but it's more points. Plus, if you're not playing as Iron Man that implies that you're playing as, I don't know, Bronze Man or Tin Man. Bronze Man?! It is too laugh!

Download here, get it while it's hot (and available).

* it is totally a word... in Portuguese.
** I shouldn't even say this, because I know Jesso will stay up all night playing it obsessively and have it ghosted by tomorrow.

if you think that our kiss was all in the lips
My sister pointed out to me that The White Stripes' "Denial Twist" is surprisingly challenging. It is!

Hide and Seek
Okay, I think the only way Imogen Heap's "Hide and Seek" could possibly be improved upon is by playing it in Audiosurf.

SO FRIGGEN' PRETTY.

Muuuuusics!
These songs are amazing fun to play:
The Killdares - Fields of Fire
Needfire - The Gravel Walks
Muse - Execution Commentary
Muse - Please Please Please (do you have any idea how hard it is to dodge grey blocks while giggling?)
They Might Be Giants - AKA Driver
They Might Be Giants - Four of Two

Yes.

Also! My computer does not like playing Audiosurf while ripping a DVD. Not at all.

surf's up? hanging ten? pick a cheesy headline
OK, so I mainly just wanted to have an area where us Players Of Teh Game could compare notes on what songs worked well with the game.

I am here to report that, sadly, Radiohead's Jigsaw Falling Into Place is not that amazing, although I did rack up a massive high score* on it first try. Also, it features a full on upside-down loop. Crazy!

Head Automatic's Beating Heart Baby is pretty awesome. The chorus is a full-speed superhighway of sound. Alas, that one kicks my butt and I have so far been unable to ghost it.

Which songs roxor your soxors?

* tragically knocking 'UnibrwShavr' out of the top spot.
